Dr. King was like a father and counsellor to me. I, along with 100s of other women loved him. I drove for 5 hours to keep him as my doctor and confident. heaven is a better place for having him there now. RIP my dear beloved Doctor King.

Lon--may God be with you and your family during this time of grief. You are in our prayers. Your mom and dad were fantastic parents and he was a most dedicated physician. Losing our parents has been difficult for you and me but not unexpected---they lived long productive lives and will live on in our memories. You and I are now on 'third base' my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet daddy. I know you are comforted in knowing that you will see him again. I was in Macon on Thursday for my Uncle Harris's service and did not know until last night of your father's passing. Love and think of you often.

Dr. Lon King was the most thoughtful, caring physician that I knew. He delivered all three of my children. He was in a small office on First Street with Hazel and Helen working with him. I was so sad when he retired but I trusted him with all my secrets and my health. Later I began seeing him and his wife at the SCV dinners and enjoyed talking with him again. He will truly be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with his children; may all the good memories help you today and each day.

Also, Paul my husband, was his healthcare consultant for years and he thought the same as I. He is sending his prayers to you. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to Dr. King's family and friends. Dr. King saw me through a touch & go pregnancy to deliver a healthy baby girl at 7mos. After an exam he had you to come into his office to discuss your progress. He leaned back in his chair and chatted as if there were no other patients waiting. To his children, thank you for sharing him with us.
