Jackie L. Lindsey, 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 21 at Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 23 at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park with the Rev. Scott Dickison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Street, Macon 31201 or the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road, Macon 31210.
Jackie was born in Savannah to the late Ruby Lee Harn and Peter Charleston Lindsey. He was predeceased by his wife, Annette Phelps Lindsey and his sister, Helen L. Hurley. Jackie was a member of First Baptist Church of Christ. He was a car salesman and had served during World War II with the Navy.
Survivors include his niece/caregiver, Linda Land; brothers, Craig (Bobbie) Lindsey, Charles (Eloise) Lindsey; and sister, Kay (Hurley) Spinks, and several nieces and nephews.
