Bubba was the son of the late Dorothy M. Avera and Virgil E. Avera, III and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil E. Avera, Jr. and Lavonia Avera and Alma Dent.
Bubba is survived by his siblings, Eddie Avera (Sandie) and Rhonda Burel (Johnny); nieces and nephew, Taylor Harrison (Clay), Lizzie Burel, Tori Burel and Dustin Burel ; great-niece and great-nephews, Avery Jane Harrison, Greyson Goad, and Alexander Shiver.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
