Janet McDaniel LaMountt

Janet McDaniel LaMountt, 93, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. A memorial service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All About Animals Rescue, P.O. Box 4331, Macon GA 31208.

Janet was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Bruce McDaniel and Jewel Wadsworth McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Warren Walden and Dan V. LaMountt, son, Robert Warren Walden, Jr. and her brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Frances McDaniel. Janet was in management with her husband Dan at Western Sizzlin Steak Houses in Galveston and Bryan-College Station, Texas. She was a volunteer as a Pink Lady and also with Sidney Lanier Cottage. Janet was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the care given to Janet at John Wesley Villas, Madison Heights @ The Prado and Family Hospice.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Walden (Thomas) Kehl, grandchildren, Nikki Etheridge (Will) Merritt, Catherine Kehl (Caleb) Fuller, great grandchildren, Olivia Merritt, McIver Merritt, and Thomas Fuller, her beloved one eyed rescue cat, Stevie Wonder.
