Janis Lynn Plotner, 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. The family will greet friends at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of her life will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens – West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40216 on Monday, September 11, 2023 at noon. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens – West.
Janis was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Doris Richie and was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Plotner; and siblings, Jackie Rector and Bill Richie.
Janis was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where for years she ran the Mother’s Morning Out program there.
She is survived by her son, Brian Plotner (Jackie); grandchildren, Austin Plotner, Peyton Plotner, Cohen Kilgore, Griffin Plotner, and Ava Queen; sister, Karen Norris; grandpup, Paisley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road has charge of arrangements.
