John David “Dave” Patman, 80, passed away on Tuesday on March 1, 2022. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Dave was born in Athens, Georgia to the late Joe Ellis and Ruth Milner Patman. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. Dave served his country in the United States Marine Corp and he was a member of the Marine Corp League. He was retired from Davis Oil Company as a Sales Executive and was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the John Bowman Sunday School Class. Dave served on the Booster Club at Stratford Academy for several years and served on the Board at Vine Ingle. He was an avid fan of Georgia Football and Atlanta Braves. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his children, Dee (Mike) Roland of Jacksonville, FL, Scott (Kathy) Patman of Fairburn, GA and Todd (Christina) Patman of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Zoe Roland (Patrick Simon), Kathleen (Wyatt) Whipple, Jackson Patman, Sara Beth Patman, Will Patman and Payton Graham; sister, Nancy (Bobby) Hunt of Athens, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
