Jackie, as I knew him, was my closest friend during those elementry school years when he lived in Albany during WWII. He lived 1/2 block away and we were constantly together. I remember sleeping over on Saturday nights listening to the Lucky Strick Hit Parade on the radio. He moved, went to UGA, was President of Phi Delta Theta. I went to Auburn was also President of Phi Delta Theta. Later our paths crossed when at an insurance convention we dicovered we were both General Agents for General American Life. Several years ago I called while driving thru Macon, and we had lunch at his home were Ann fixed us a wonderful shrimp salad.
ESP must work because I had been thinking of him for days and went on line to find his obituary. I just wish I had know of his illness so I could have gone to see him before he died.
The letter I sent to Ann at their old address was returned and I have been unable to locate her. If anyone reading this can help me locate her, please call me at 704-334-2700x303.

I just found out today of Jack's passing. I met Jack in 1977 when I joined his agency in Tampa. While we only worked together for about 4 years, I acquired enough Jack Haugabook stories to last a lifetime. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and his giving nature. He was fun to be with, whether it was playing golf, having lunch or hanging out. My condolences go to Ann, John IV and to Love. Life is full of regrets. One of mine is not keeping up with him more over the years.

I had the pleasure of growing up with Jack's son John in the late 70's early 80's in Tampa FL before they moved to Macon. Jack and Ann were second parents to me and kept both of us on the straight and narrow.
He will be truly missed but never forgotten. RWP
