

John Edward Pruitt, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Log Cabin Drive with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Brent Dennis will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to service time on Friday at the Kingdom Hall.
Mr. Pruitt, son of the late John Silas and Annie Mae Adams Pruitt, was a lifelong resident of Macon. He served with the U. S. Army and retired from Army Reserve after twenty years of service. Mr. Pruitt was in wholesale delivery with Professional Grade Products (PGP). He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Log Cabin Congregation. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Pruitt.
He leaves to cherish his memory those he loved most, his wife, Jewell Shelley Pruitt of Macon; his daughter, Tammy Lattimore of Macon; his granddaughter and her husband, Amber and Jimmy Moye of Macon; three great grandchildren, Jolie, Spencer, and Alyvia Moye.
Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
