Joseph Richard “Ricky” Brown, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Pastor Andy King officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ricky was born in Riverdale, Georgia to the late Joseph Richard Brown Sr., and Betty Faye Eaves Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Nell Gainous Brown. He retired from Georgia Power after 30 years of service. Ricky was of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted and loving husband, an amazing dad, and mentor to many.
He is survived by his two sons, Sean (Samantha) Brown, Timothy Brown, four grandchildren, Tyler (Lauren) Brown, Taylor (Curtis) Shimel, Kayla (James) Martin, and Ella Brown, and eight great grandchildren.
