

Joyce Chambers Bishop, 75, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Emory University Hospital after a sudden illness. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 1P.M. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Royce Chambers, Jr. and Rev. Key Chambers officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, February 28, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Royce Chambers (Alma) Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Bishop, and her sister, Faye Thompson. She was the former owner/operator of The Flower Box, B J and the Clocks, A Little Bit of Country, and B&W Painting Company. Mrs. Bishop was employed by Gold Cup Bowling Center in Warner Robins. She had been an avid bowler since 1959. She was on the Monday AM Smoke Free League and Thursday Senior League in Macon. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving family, son, Tab Bishop (Suellen) of Macon; daughter, Lisa Griffin (Bunnie) of Macon; eight grandchildren, Bradley, Britney, Brandon, Brianna, Brodie Bishop, Wesley, Morgan and Zach Griffin; four great grandchildren, Wyatt Bishop, Shelbe and Zoe Bishop, Sawyer Griffin; two brothers, Royce Chambers (Barbara) of Macon, Key Chambers (Debra) of Crestwood, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
