

EATONTON – Joyce Darleen Smith Woodard, 77, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at Gateway Fellowship Church of God with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tim Kelly will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Gateway Fellowship Church of God, 6531 Skipper Road, Macon 31216 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31204 or to your favorite charity.
Mrs. Woodard, daughter of the late James Albert and Charlotte Polk Freeman, was born in Jay FL. She was retired from the shipping department at Keebler Bakery and was a member of the Bakers and Confectionary Union. Mrs. Woodard was a member of Gateway Fellowship Church of God.
She is survived by the family she adored, her husband, N. E. Woodard of Eatonton; her children, Teresa and Butch Rogers of Knoxville, TN, Larry Ray Wall of Eatonton, Pamela McDonald of Macon, Willa Stanley of Phoenix City, AL, Angela (Eric) Farber of Lake Mary, FL ,Tammy Hearn of Eastman, Cynthia Jordan of Macon, Veronica (Art) Hatfield of Byron, Randy (Cindy) Woodard of Perry, David (Linda) Woodard of Perry, Jody (Amy) Woodard of Roberta, Chuck (Cathy) Shipes of Bonaire, Dottie Ann Shelton of Fort Valley and Ray (Sheila) Shipes of Macon; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Ailene Medley of Snellville; two nephews, Donnie Vedo and Andy Medley, both of Snellville.
