Juanita Jones Holton Wrye, age 90, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully at Pine Pointe Hospice on Sunday, April 11, 2021. A private burial will be held in Griffin, GA at Oak Hill Cemetery on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Teresa Edwards officiating. A receiving for family and friends will be held at Forest Hills United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions, may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Pine Pointe Hospice or United in Pink.
Nita was born in Griffin, Georgia but lived most of her life in Macon, Georgia. She attended A.L. Miller High School where she was an honor graduate and cheerleader for Lanier High. She was Past State President of the Women of Georgia Power. She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her first husband, James B. Holton and daughter, Carol Canady. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Carl Wrye, and their blended family, Jacki Holton Heath, Janice Holton Grinstead (Harrell), Judy Holton Rogers (Joey), Jim Holton (Amy), Kay Wrye Hefner, Charlotte Wrye, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
