

A funeral service celebrating Kay's life will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Laudis "Rick" H. Lanford and Witness Andy Watson officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation following her service.
Born on October 20, 1946, Kay was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and friend. She treasured her family above all else and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Kay was of Presbyterian Faith and worked for a local funeral home for 27 years. She loved being at the beach and cabin in Darien.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Raymond Moody, Sr. and Josie Waddleton Moody; and her brother, Randy Ayers Moody, Sr.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Herbert "Herbie" Duke, Jr.; one daughter, Kelly Kim Duke of Macon; one son, Kevin Tyler Duke of Macon; her siblings, Raymond (Cheryl) A. Moody, Jr., Kim (Rick) Moody Lanford, and Rodie (LaDon) Moody; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Kay will be remembered for the love she shared so freely, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the gentle presence that brought comfort and joy to so many. Her legacy of love and faithfulness will continue through all who were blessed to know her.
The family would like to give a special thanks for the care given from the staff at 9 Main, Palliative Care, and Pine Pointe.
