Lena Howard Jackson

MACON – Lena Howard Jackson, 72, left the pain and suffering of this world and entered her Heavenly rest on Monday, June 11, 2012. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mac Goddard officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Grace Howard and her siblings, James, Carlson, Bobby, Benny and Johnnie Howard. She was a devoted homemaker and attended Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Barney Jackson; children, Chris Jackson (Peggy) and Melanie Chandler (Jerry); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and her sister, June Howard Schweikert of Tampa, FL.
