Leslie V. Hodges

Leslie V. Hodges, 55, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Highland Hills Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Dr. Jim Bruner and Rev. Cass Ducharme will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service Saturday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Jay’s Hope Foundation, 1157B Forsyth Street, Macon 31201 or “An Open Door” Adoption Agency, P O Box 4, 218 E. Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31799.

Leslie was born in Waycross, Georgia and had lived in Macon and Sapelo Island for most of her adult life. She was the daughter of the late Shirley Dill Vollenweider and was preceded in death by a brother, Reid Vollenweider. Leslie was a former public school teacher and administrator. She was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church as well as various other organizations here in Macon.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Hodges of Macon; children, Josh Hodges and Mack Hodges both of Macon; father, Walter Vollenweider of Macon; niece, Haylee Vollenweider of Manor.
