Lily June Edwards Buchanan

Lily June Edwards Buchanan, age 90, of Lizella, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. A Celebration of her Life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Midway Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Marty Braemer and Nathan Hiland will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Midway Baptist Church, 1200 Moseley Road, Macon 31220.

June was born in Macon the daughter of the late O. D. Edwards and Eunice Taylor Edwards and was the widow of Riley Buchanan. She was preceded in death by a son, Reginald Taylor Buchanan and her siblings, Hester Hodges and Prentice Edwards. June was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church.

June is survived by her son, Russell Buchanan of Lizella; grandchildren, April Waller (Shaun), Christine Ann Hiland (Nathan), Katherine Elrod (Tyler), and Ryan Michael Buchanan; 5 great-grandchildren, Logan, Leah, Emma, Chloe, Brielle, Makenzie, Noah, and Aiden; siblings, Florence Marek and Ivy Edwards.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
