Linda “Lin” Mae Palmiter, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 11, 2025. There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jeremy Wilson officiating at Forest Hills Church. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service time.
Lin was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Faye Sturgill on August 12, 1947. She had a natural green thumb, you would be able to tell by just looking at her garden. Her favorite flowers were orchids, and she had a knack for growing violets. She was a beautiful light in this life that will be missed by all who knew her.
Lin is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jim Palmiter; grandson, Zack Palmiter; sister, Jeannie (Dan) Miller; sister-in-law, Jane Leach; a brother-in-Christ, Mike Barron; and sisters-in-Christ, Bonnie Barron and Sharon Gibson. She is joined in heaven by her family members that have passed before her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to Forest Hills Church Youth Ministry or Backpack Ministry, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon GA 31210.
The service will be live recorded from Forest Hills Church. If you are unable to attend in person, please show your support for the family by attending virtually:
