Lonie L. Spivey

Lonie L. Spivey, 80, passed away Thursday, August 07, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Rev. Martie Dillon will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM the afternoon of the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Optum Palliative and Hospice Care, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210.

Mrs. Spivey was born in Johnson County, Georgia the daughter of the late Melinda Price Lindsey and Arlie Lindsey. She was retired from the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of Dames Ferry Baptist Church. Mrs. Spivey was preceded in death by her brother, Ostell Lindsey and sister, Artiedelle Blizzard.

Mrs. Spivey is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ray Spivey of Juliette; children, Lindsey (Lisa) Spivey and Stewart (Sharon) Spivey all of Monroe County; grandchildren, Ryan, Kirsty, and Drake Spivey; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Audrey Spivey; sisters, Alice Reese, Inez Veal, Eveline Schneller, and Betty Bush; several nieces and nephews.
