

MACON – Lorin Edward Marshall, 93, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, with burial at 3 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 4406, Macon, GA 31208.
Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Gretchen Paul Marshall, his parents, Benjamin Thomas Marshall, Sr. and Nancy Page Marshall, two brothers, B. T. Marshall, Jr. and Floyd C. Marshall and a sister, Eunice Marshall Blount. Born in Washington County, Mr. Marshall served with the U. S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He lived in Macon most of his life and was the owner and operator of Marshall Awning and Siding Co. Mr. Marshall was a Charter Member of Berean Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was also a member of Anderson Masonic Lodge No. 243.
Survivors include his daughter, Patti Marshall of Dunedin, FL; his son, Jerry Marshall (Melba) of Macon; two grandchildren, Nancy Massey (Rad) and Brent Marshall (Shelley), all of Macon; two great grandchildren, Anna and Marsh Massey of Macon; his sister, Lessie Meeks of Macon; his brother, Bobby Marshall (Nancy) of Mooresville, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews.
