Lula M. Walker

Lula May (Lou) Walker, 82, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, February 27, 2012 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with Dr. Mason Davis, Rev. Max Patterson and Rev. Marty Watson officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker was the widow of Cecil L. Walker and was born in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Beulah Ann Howell Burgess and Joseph J. Burgess. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, where she taught Sunday school and helped with the children ministries. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Janice Barlow.

She is survived by her son: Don (Brenda) Walker of Byron; Daughter: Ann (Donnie) Hamrick of Macon; Grandchildren: Dwayne (Nikki) Hamrick, Krista Miller, Billy (Jan) Barlow, Brannon (Sue) Barlow, Angel (Clint) Filley and Sam Walker; 11 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
