Margaret A. (Pelt) Tomberlin, age 94, of Dallas, GA, passed away November 28, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave at 2:00 pm with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, St. James Ave., Macon. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Margaret was the daughter of William Troy Pelt and Florence Elizabeth Chasteen Pelt. Mrs. Tomberlin was a devoted Christian woman who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She was an active servant at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church and Houston Heights Baptist Church in Macon, GA. She attended New Hope Baptist Church after moving to Dallas, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Tomberlin; son, Kenny Tomberlin; son-in-law, Kenneth Batchelor; grandson, Doyle Ross Tomberlin; and eleven siblings. Mrs. Tomberlin is survived by her daughters, Roslyn Batchelor, Pamela Chiang (Mike), Deborah Warren (Chip) and Inez Elliott (Frank); grandchildren, Kevin Batchelor (Carla), Eric Batchelor (Quincy), Joshua Stephenson (Alicia), Elizabeth Stephenson, Charles Warren (Melissa), Mandy Whitmore, Scotty Tomberlin; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and Great Mama.
