

Marguerite Gregory Carroll, 84, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Franklin Etheridge and the Rev. Lee Griffin will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to their favorite charity.
Mrs. Carroll, daughter of the late Walter Sutton and Trudie Maude Moore Sutton, was born in Summit, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. “Jimmy” Gregory and by her sister, Clarice Edwards. Mrs. Carroll was retired from Willingham Textile Mill after twenty-five years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Mrs. Carroll loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and
great grandmother who was most happy spending time with her family.
She is survived by those she loved most, her daughter, Clara (David) Renfroe of Macon; her son, Jerry (Angela) Gregory of Lizella; five beloved grandchildren, Michelle Renfroe, Scott Renfroe, Heather Barkley, Tal Gregory and Mandi Gregory; seven much adored great grandchildren; her sister, Frances (Leland) Rowe of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
