Marie McKinley

Macon - Marie Hayes McKinley, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Dr. Aubrey Sheets will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mrs. McKinley, daughter of the late John Dennis Hayes and Lorena Hutchison Hayes, was born in Taylor County, GA and was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Thomaston. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Dennis Hayes, Jr. Mrs. McKinley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and was a devoted homemaker. Survivors include those she loved most, her husband of sixty-three years, Joseph Alton McKinley of Macon; her daughter, Debbie Grimsley of Macon; her grandchildren, Daniel Grimsley and Sarah Grimsley of Macon; her great grandson, Mason Grimsley of Macon; her brother, Bobby Hayes of Duncanville, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
