

Marjorie Marshall Skipper, 96, passed away on Monday, July 20. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Baxter Hurley officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, July 22 from 5 to 7 PM at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Those who wish may make donations to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon 31210.
Marjorie was born in Macon to the late Clovis Hill and Dearie Beatrice Cook McClelland. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Orville Lee Marshall, Sr., and Sol E. Skipper; and her sons, Dan Patrick Marshall and Jack Allen Marshall. Marjorie was a member of Forest Hill Methodist Church. She was a bookkeeper and during her career worked for Fickling and Walker, and Bibb Distributing, among others. Marjorie was involved with the WAABI, Macon Chapter, ABWR, Macon Moose Home Chapter, DAV and VFW, Carpenters and Millwright Local #144, OES, Past President of ABWA Chapter, and Heart of Georgia.
Survivors include her sons, Orville “Skipper” Marshall of Atlanta, Richard Marshall of Macon and Mark Marshall, of High Falls; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
