Martha Payne Daniel

MACON – “Nan” Martha Payne Daniel, 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be private. The family will meet friends from 6- 8 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Goodwill Industries, 5171 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon 31206 or to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.

Mrs. Daniel, wife of the late Jack Collier Daniel, was born in Mount Airy, GA the daughter of the late Russell Franklin Payne and Seina Kimsey Payne. She was a graduate of Habersham County High School and Piedmont College, Demorest, GA. Mrs. Daniel was secretary retired from Jack Daniel, Attorney-at-Law. She had lived in Macon since 1961 moving here from Griffin and was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Oscar Leverette of Macon; two granddaughters, Tricia Leverette (Steve) Spivey of Cartersville and Kimsey Leverette of Macon; two great grandchildren, Rachel Spivey and Carter Spivey.
