MACON – Mary Alice Burkhalter, 54, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Rivoli Road with the Rev. Stan Braley officiating. The family will meet friends following the service. They suggest that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 7015 Rivoli Road, Macon 31210.
Miss Burkhalter was the daughter of the late Harry H. Burkhalter and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her mother, Louise R. Burkhalter of Macon; three brothers, William T. Ray Burkhalter, John A. Burkhalter and George L. Burkhalter, all of Macon; her sister, Nancy Gayle Ward of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
