Mary K. Horne

Mary K. Horne, 90, passed away Tuesday, June 06, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Brad Marchman will officiate. The family will meet friends from 12 Noon to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Georgia, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Mrs. Horne, wife of the late Edsal B. Horne, Sr., was born in DeKalb County the daughter of the late John C. and Georgia Kilgore Henck. Living in Macon since 1950, she enjoyed working for the Bibb County Board of Education in school lunchrooms. Mrs. Horne was a charter member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church where she was a member of WMU and the Ruth Bible Class. She was also a member of AARP. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her love and sweet memories are her daughter, Cheryl (Tommy) Darity of Macon; her son, Eddie (Susan) Horne of Macon; her grandchildren Melissa Baisch, Michelle Finch, Jonathan Luzier, Melinda Luzier, Suzanne Howard and Bryant Horne; fifteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
