Mary Wynne Rogers

Mary Wynne Rogers, 67 of Macon and Sandersville passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 following an extended illness. Graveside Funeral services were held on Friday, March 7th at 11:00 AM at Brownwood Cemetery. The service was led by Ms. Roger's pastor, Reverend Will Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at First Christian Church with Reverend Will Johnson officiating.

Ms. Rogers was born November 11, 1957, in Kentucky. She graduated from Brentwood Academy in Sandersville. Ms. Rogers graduated from Georgia College and was a member of Phi Mu sorority.

Ms. Rogers was a dedicated employee of The Bibb County Department of Family and Children Services for 19 years.

Ms. Rogers was an active member of First Christian church of Macon, which she loved, serving as an Elder, taught Sunday School and belonged to their Christian Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed getting up very early on Saturday mornings to search for that elusive bargain at both yard and estate sales. Ms. Rogers never met a stranger and had a beautiful big smile to share with everyone.

Ms. Rogers is predeceased by her mother, Mary Lee Rogers, and father, Mack Irwin Rogers. She is survived by her brother George Rogers (Teresa), sister, Virginia Lord (Shane) of Sandersville, niece, Anna Grace Lord Doolittle (Ben), nephews, Will Lord, Mike Rogers (Bekki), and Mack Rogers (Sarah Jean). Ms. Rogers is also survived by her three great nieces. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.

In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations be made to First Christian Church of Macon, 2306 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 in honor of Mary Wynne Rogers.
