Mavis E. Muncus

Mavis Evelyn Muncus, 96, went to be with her Lord and heavenly family on Friday, August 26, 2016. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Len Woodard officiating. The family will greet friends from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

Mavis was born in Shamut, Alabama to the late Paul and Mattie Bee McCoy. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Pitts; sisters, Lillian Taylor and Lameral Cualpepper. Mavis was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Mavis is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arttis Muncus; sons, Anthony Pitts (Kathy), and Donald Askew (Beverly), 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren; and sister, Faye Crowder.
