MACON – Michael S. “Red Tail Wolf” Nystrom, 51, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at a local hospital. Graveside services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Madison Street. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Epilepsy Association, 121 Booker Street, Warner Robins, GA 31093-2627.
Mr. Nystrom was born in Macon and was a graduate of First Presbyterian Day School. He was of Cherokee descent and was proud of his Indian heritage. Mr. Nystrom was in sales with Industrial Mine and Pipe Supply. He loved playing the guitar and had written reviews for a number of publications.
A loving son, brother, husband and father, he is survived by those he loved most, his family….his wife, DeDee Aiken Nystrom of Lizella; his daughter, Jessica Ann Nystrom of Lizella; his parents, JoAnn R. and Bob Nystrom of Macon and his brother, Scott Nystrom of Macon.
