She was an employee of the Federal Government for 27 years beginning with Robins Air Force Base in 1957. After taking time off to be an at home mother, she later returned to Federal Employment with the Forestry Service and then to the Office of Hearings and Appeals under the Social Security Administration. She was able to return to Robins Air Force Base eventually and retire from there in 1995. From 1977 until her death, she was a member in good standing of the United Pentecostal Church in Macon and continued her faith at Word Aflame Tabernacle with her final church being the Apostolic Church of Warner Robins.
