Nita Lee Bennett

Nita Lee Bennett, 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The family will have a private viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 5400 Riverside Drive, Suite 200, Macon GA 31210.

Nita was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Bert and Martha Ellen Farrow Latham. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy E. Norton. She was a long-time resident of Ivey, Georgia where she loved spending time on the lake with family and friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Nita was a bank teller with C&S Bank for many years and was retired from Brown and Williamson. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Frank T. Bennett of Macon, Mitzi Young of Boca Raton, grandchildren, Frank T. (Amy) Bennett, great granddaughter, Juliette Bennett, niece, Terri Jones and nephew, Andy Norton.
