Norma was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Robert Lee Thombley Sr and Martha Johnson Thombley. Norma graduated with a Master's in Education from Mercer University and served as a teacher in Bibb County for 37 years before retiring. She spent most of her career teaching at Rosa Taylor Elementary. She was also a member of Vineville Presbyterian Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Thom Williamson; nephews, Robert Lee Thombley III and Cleon C. Thombley; niece, Nancy Wilcenski; and dear long time family friend, Kay Swanson.
