Her mama cat had kittens when I had her for 9th grade Lit. I wanted to get one for my dad. It was a beautiful tuxedo cat he named "Boy Cat" and he lived over 10yrs. I remember she brought it to me on a Fri. and I got to carry all over MA until dismissal. It was so sweet and everyone loved on it!! I learned a lot from Mrs. G, and she was "No nonsense" when it came to pop quiz's and finals, but she worked hard to make sure we studied and were ready. I will keep her family in my thoughts.

I had her in my sophomore and junior years at Monroe Academy, for World History and then English. Two memories stick out: 1. A lot of us had gotten helium balloons at a festival. She told us to put them UNDER the desks, or she would pop them. I thought she was bluffing--until she held up a pin for us to see. 2. She spotted 2 of my classmates working together on some in-class assignment we had. Names will be withheld to protect the guilty. They did really well and scored a 96 out of 100. She then split it between them and gave them both 48s. I still tell that 2nd story every now and then. It always gets a reaction.
