Peggy L. Sutton

MACON - Peggy Lowery Sutton, 77, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was born in Dublin GA in 1933 and moved to Macon shortly thereafter. She was educated in Bibb County Schools and graduated from A. L. Miller High School in 1951. Mrs. Sutton was retired as bookkeeper from Cleveland Electric Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wylene Southerland Ellison and William Theodore Lowery.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Delmus H. Sutton and two stepchildren, Theresa Hibberd and Richard (Lea) Sutton, all of Macon. Step grandchildren include Jason Hibberd, Misty Rowland and Aaron Sutton. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Bobbie Lowery Edge and her brother, Chuck (Joyce) Ellison, both of Macon. She was a very special aunt to her nephews, Wesley (Tanya) Edge, Scott (Heidi) Edge, Charles Ellison, all of Macon, and William (Emily) Ellison of Atlanta. She is also survived by great nieces, Chrystle Edge and Anneliese Edge and two great nephews, James Edge and Drew Edge, all of Macon. Special friends surviving Mrs. Sutton include Jim, Donna and Anderson Lumpkin.

Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
