MACON- Ralph Everett Stults, 92, passed away in a local nursing home. Memorial services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Clay Bowden and Rev. Stan Braley officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 3:00 at the church in the fellowship Hall. The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mr, Stults was born in Orange, Massachusetts to the late Edith Marrihew Stults and William R. Stults. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He retired as a minister of education from Vineville Baptist Church and also served in churches in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, and Hawaii. He was a past president of Georgia Baptist Religious Education Association. He was also a Navy Veteran serving for 4 years during World War II. Mr. Stults was a graduate of Seabreeze High School, Stetson University and Southwestern Theological Seminary.
Mr. Stults is survived by his wife: Dorothy (DeeJay) Brandon Stults of Macon; children: Carl (AnnaLee) Stults of Colorado Springs, Co., Cindy (Tim) Brown and Cheryl (Wayne) Sjoquist both of Macon, Lynn (Paul) Reaves of Statesboro, Lisa (Scott) Puckett of Jefferson, Ga., and Barbara Hobbs of Valrico, Fl; grandchildren; John Stults, Sara Spencer, Todd and Kevin Brown , Amy Cooper, Elizabeth McCollum, Charles and Cale Stich, Brandon, Benjamin, and Andrew Reaves, Ean, Noel and Levi Plunkett, and Rett, Addison and Jackson Hobbs; eight great-grandchildren.
