

Robert “Bobby” E. Barnett, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 in a local hospital and is now at home with Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Vineville Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tripp Martin and Dr. William Hardee will officiate. The family will meet friends form 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. They ask that those who wish make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31201 or to Macon Humane Society, 1354 Nottingham Drive, Macon 31211.
Bobby was born in Atlanta and had lived in Macon most of his life, graduating from Lanier High School, Class of ’65. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam era. Bobby was the owner and operator of B & D Inventory and was a member of Vineville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Barnett, Sr. and by his son-in-law, Sgt. Kelley L. Courtney.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Deanna S. Barnett of Macon; three daughters, Amy Barnett (Dale Shelton) of Macon, Leigh (Will) Collins of Augusta and Cindy Courtney and her fiancé, Thomas Tufano, of Macon; his son, Richard Jacobs (Patty) of Lizella; his mother, Vera A. Barnett of Macon; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Dianne Repasz of Warner Robins, Barbara Hornaday of Macon and Lynn (Ronnie) Andrews of Macon; his brother, Jeff Barnett of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
