Macon, Georgia - Robin Sanders Shrader, 63, died peacefully on Sunday, July 30, after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Magoni officiating. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial funds may be made to the outreach ministry of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon GA 31210.
Robin was born on May 16, 1960 and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Macon. She attended Northeast High School where she graduated as Valedictorian in 1978. She then attended Mercer University where she graduated with honors in 1982. Afterward she attended Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, where she and her future husband met.
She was her husbands’ right hand as he pastored churches in Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. The last few years of her life were spent taking care of her mother in Macon. She was a member of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church where she made many wonderful and supportive friends in the Francis Asbury Sunday School Class and the Joy Circle as well as throughout the congregation.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Rev. Kent L. Shrader and her mother Mrs. Loretta Sanders. She was preceded in death by her father Mr. George Sanders and her grandfathers and grandmothers.
