

MACON – Ronald Lee Knight, 50, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lizella Baptist Church Christian Life Center with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Shannon Back and the Rev. Chase Hinson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lizella Baptist Church Building Fund, 2950 South Lizella Road, Lizella 31052.
Mr. Knight, son of the late Harold C. Knight, was a lifelong resident of Macon and a graduate of Southwest High School. He worked for twenty-four years with Georgia Power Company before becoming branch manager of City Electric Supply. Mr. Knight was a member of Lizella Baptist Church where he served as Vice Chairman of Deacons. He loved his church and was very active in its life serving on the Personnel Committee and as a member of Mike Holman’s Sunday School Class.
His first love was his family who survive him, his wife, Donna Darsey Knight of Macon; his daughter, Bailey Knight of Macon; his mother, Josie L. Knight of Macon; his brother, Kenneth (Lisa) Knight of Macon; his nephew and niece, Keven Knight and Stacy Buffington; his great nephew, Kaleb Hutto of Macon; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his sister-in-law and her husband, Mary Ann and Rick Paul of Lizella.
