

MACON – Rosemary Evans Anderson Ivey –72, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 746 Cherry Street. Burial will be private for family only in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. James C. Dant will officiate. The family will greet friends following the memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Andy Anderson Scholarship Fund, c/o Stratford Academy, 6010 Peake Road, Macon 31220 or Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta 30319.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Thomson, Georgia and was a graduate of Wesleyan College. She was a past member of Highland Hills Baptist Church, a member of Idle Hour Golf and Country Club and the Town & Country Garden Club. While living in Sea Island, Georgia she was very active in Christ Church, organizing and helping with many fundraising activities. She was the daughter of the late Randall and Tullyne Moye Evans and was preceded in death by her son, Halstead T. “Andy” Anderson, II and her husband, George Walker.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband, Billy Ivey of Atlanta; children, William H. (Nina) Anderson, III of Macon, Samuel E. Anderson of Macon; step-daughter, Lisa Sullivan of Atlanta; step-son, Christopher Ivey of Arizona; grandchildren, Kathryn H. Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, Emily Tindal Anderson of Macon, Margaret Corinne Anderson of Macon and Virginia Riley Anderson of Macon; daughter-in-law, Helen Dunlap Anderson of Macon; sisters, Patricia Missar of Augusta, Beverly Rodgers of Watkinsville; several nieces and nephews.
