Samuel L. Richardson, 44, died March 17, 2013, in Columbus, Georgia. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 19th at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. The family will greet friends following the memorial service. Dr. Billy Oliver will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Methodist Home for Children & Youth, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31204 or The Museum of Arts & Sciences, 4182 Forsyth Road, Macon 31210 or First Presbyterian Day School, 5671 Calvin Drive, Macon 31210.

Sam was born October 24, 1968, in Macon, Georgia to Elmo and Linda Richardson. He graduated from First Presbyterian Day School in 1986 and went on to complete his education at Norwich University in Vermont. After graduation, he returned home to Macon before moving to Columbus to pursue a career as a construction project manager. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time hunting and fishing at the family farm and could often be found there with his friends.

Sam is survived by his parents, Elmo and Linda Richardson; sister, Jennifer Nelson and her husband, David Nelson; niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Lanier Nelson; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Richardson.

Mr and Mrs Richardson, I am just sick to hear about Sam. He was such a great friend and I had many good times with him. I truly hated to miss the service, I was out of town or I would have been there. I have you both, Jennifer and the rest of the family in my prayers. I sure miss him.
