Tommy S. Shadburn

Tom “Tommy” Smalling Shadburn, 73, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Parkway Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Bob Carey and Mr. Mike Mayo will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and asks that those who wish, make donations to The Gideon’s International, Bibb West Crawford Camp., P.O. Box 28665, Macon 31221-8665.

Mr. Shadburn was born in Macon, Georgia, the son of the late Beatrice Nell Smalling Shadburn and Whelchel Henry Shadburn. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Levi Shadburn and a brother, Art Shadburn. Mr. Shadburn was the owner and operator of Shadburn’s Auto Upholstery and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was a Gideon and a Son of the Confederate Veterans.

Mr. Shadburn is survived by his wife, Darnelle McCleave Shadburn of Macon; children, Darrell Shadburn (Wanda), Joseph Shadburn (Nicole), and Kim Carter (Norman); special daughter, Naomi Kicklighter (Thomas); sisters, Marjorie Lawrence and Norma Jean Mock; grandchildren; Erica Hudgens, Hannah, Caleb and Seth Shadburn, John Isaac and Whitley Carter, Maika, Tabitha and Lydia Kicklighter; his favorite puppy dog, Trixie.
