Virginia Bailey Forbes

Virginia Bailey Forbes, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, in a local hospital. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 26, at 1 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Madison Street, with The Rev. Dr. R. Daniel Holloway officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 565 Wimbish Road, Macon 31210.

Mrs. Forbes was born in Albany, Georgia to the late Mary Lou Mills Bailey and Alonzo Wilcox Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Forbes. Mrs. Forbes was retired from the Bibb County School System. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children, Bruce Alan (Judy) Forbes of Clarkesville, GA, Carol (Dan) Holloway of Ft. Mill, SC, and George L. (Lori) Forbes of Juliette; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jennings, Rob Holloway, Ginny Wolfe, Travis Forbes, and Grayson Forbes; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
