William “Bill” Bowen Crane, 83, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 2:00pm in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201.
Bill was born in Massachusetts to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Moore Crane and was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Crane and grandson, Bobby Gene Wright, Jr. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force and was retired from Hospital Administration. Bill was a member of Peachtree City First Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman and handyman.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Margaret Shirah Crane; children, Rita Gayton, Elizabeth Stone (Russell Swartz) and Christopher Crane; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Eleanor St. Laurent.
