W. Phillip Yeats, 66, passed away February 28, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, 2:00 PM at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with Keith Mather officiating. The family will greet friends starting at 1:00 PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Phillip was born January 26, 1957 in Marietta, Georgia. The son of the late William Damascus and Mary Frances Yeats. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon. For 38 years, he served as Fleet Manager for AT&T Telecommunications. Phillip had a love for the outdoors, and many of his hobbies reflected that love. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling, in addition to NASCAR, carpentry, and music.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Schuchmann; his sisters, Donna Peace and Melissa Yeats; nephews, Justin (Jessica) Schuchmann, Kyle (Crystal) Schuchmann, Dana (Holli) Peace, Kristopher Peace and Colin Yeats; great niece and nephews, and a host of friends.
