Anthony D. Padwater

Anthony Dennis Padwater, 80, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dennis was born on July 9th 1934 in Buffalo New York. Prior to his retirement, Dennis worked at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks CT for 35 years. While at Hamilton, he was instrumental in the design of the space suits and life support systems for NASA. Dennis was an avid stamp collector and an investment enthusiast. Dennis is survived by his three children, Deborah Padwater and her husband Wolfgang Misera of Freiburg, Germany, Kathy Stahelski and her husband David of Madison CT, and his son John Padwater and partner Gene Finn of New York City. In addition, Dennis leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Delores Lammers Padwater of Cromwell, CT and her children, Christopher and Heather. He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Herrington Padwater of Longmeadow, MA. Dennis is also survived by his sister, Pam Odle and her husband Neil Gloier of Kirkland, WA. Also left to cherish his memories are his five grandchildren, Alison, Nicholas, Luke, Anna, and Lisa who "Popop" loved very much. A caliing hour will be held on Friday November 7th from 11am-12pm at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison, CT.
