Barbara L. (Jandrok) Toohey, 87 of Farmington, CT passed away on September 14, 2026. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Jandrok. Barbara is survived by her son Michael (Maria) Toohey and her cherished grandchildren, Heather (Frank) Jeski, Dan (Natalie) Toohey, Connor (Adeline) Toohey, Shay Toohey and her beloved great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son John Toohey, sister Eleanor Riordan and ex-husband Paul Toohey, Jr.
Barbara graduated from West Haven High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. She was employed as an administrator/receptionist for years at various businesses in the Farmington area. Barbara was a devoted and dedicated mother, and her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed watching the UCONN men’s and women’s basketball teams and Michigan football. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially her family’s many dogs and cats.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, from 9-10:30 AM at Swan Funeral Home in Madison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM in St. Margaret Church, Madison. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
