

She was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Eugene and Annette Healy and grew up in Forest Hills and Plandome, New York. Christine graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland where she received a degree in English. She was married to William Monaco, who predeceased her in March 2008.
Christine worked as an editor at The New Yorker, Oxford University Press, WTNH Channel 8 and Yale University Law School and a book reviewer for the New Haven Register. She was a voracious reader, who loved classic movies, the music of James Taylor and flowers.
She is survived by her loving children, son, Jamie Meehan; daughter, Rachel Hartstein, devoted former husband and friend, James Meehan; dedicated brothers, Gene and Justin Healy; loyal son-in-law, Scott Hartstein, beloved granddaughters, Sophie and Maeve Hartstein, caring stepdaughters, Sherry and Wendy Monaco, in addition to a large extended family and many, many adoring friends.
A wake will be held at Swan Funeral Home 825 Boston Post Rd. Madison, Sunday, January 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will take place on Monday, January 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, also in Madison.
