Edie was born in Chatsworth, New Jersey on October 29, 1926, to the late Samuel and Katherine Wills. For many years, she was a highly regarded school secretary for the Red Bank, New Jersey Public School system, first for the superintendent and then for various principals. That is also where she met her husband Jim, an industrial arts educator.

She and her family enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. during their summers off.
Upon retirement, she and her husband became snowbirds, enjoying the winters in Tamarac, Florida and the summers with their daughters and their spouses, and their grandchildren in Madison, Connecticut.
She will be forever missed by her daughter Deborah Lynch and her husband Michael, and her daughter, Susan Daub and her husband Marshall, all of Madison. “Queen Nana” will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Allison Lasko and her husband Brian, Hillary Hanna and her husband Craig, Kendall Daub, Christopher Daub, Stephen Lynch, and Marissa Lynch.
