

She was born on November 11, 1945, in New Haven, the daughter of Dominic and Josephine Napolitano.
Edith was a passionate baker at Stop & Shop for 25 years. She graduated from Hill House high school in 1963. Married Nicholas Macri in 1965 and went on to have four children. Edith had a passion for helping anyone and sometimes everyone she could. She's adopted many neighborhood children throughout her years. Always offering guidance, love, even a place to live even though she didn't have much to give herself. Her grand children and great grand children where the center of her life and heart. Her tender words and warm heart will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
She was the beloved mother of Sandra Macri of Madison, Renee Macri of Lyme, Maria Smith of Tarpon Springs, FL and Elizabeth Macri of Madison; sister of JoAnn DeSorbo (Joseph) of N. Branford, Lorraine LaBonia (Michael) of Branford and Vincent Napolitano (Ann) of Guilford; loving grandmother of Angela, Heather, Christopher, Allysa, Taylor, Angelica, Trenton, Keara, Amber, Lucas and Trinity; great grandmother of three; and Aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two great grand children Theron James Reizian and Malea Grace Reizian.
A funeral service will be held on February 20th at 11am, at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, W. Haven.
